Based on concrete opportunities at our key client, one of the largest banks in Belgium, we are looking to strengthen our transformation team with a new [Junior / Medior / Senior] Data Scientist who will join our Data & Analytics competency.
As a Data Scientist working in financial services, you will support our clients to deliver AI solutions from ideation, feasibility assessment, to data preparation, modelling and industrialization.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Proficiently use statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms and data visualization tools to extract valuable insights from the data.
- Create value by enabling clients to deliver faster and higher quality service with use of AI solutions.
- Ensure seamless communication channels to guarantee accurate integration of complex analytical solutions into the development process.
- Collaborate closely with other data scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and subject matter experts to understand domain-specific challenges and requirements.
- Conduct user research, analyze data, and gather feedback from stakeholders.
- Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

Your skills and attributes:
- MS degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or Machine Learning.
- Minimum of [1-5] year(s) of hands-on experience with Data Science.
- Experience working in Python and SQL.
- Experience working with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, etc.
- Good understanding of statistical and machine learning models with experience applying your knowledge to business problems.
- Have experience in Agile methodologies, preferably in the finance/banking industry.
- Are fluent in English and in Dutch or French, with at least a passive knowledge of the other language.
